Melissa and Bryan November 14th, 2009Truth is, I could not wait to blog about this wedding. The photos came out absolutely amazing and Melissa just shines in every one of them!
So, you can see how I start, with a face chart of what we did at the trial run, and some notes so that I am able to re-create the look on the day of. Though, it never fails, the makeup always comes out better on the wedding day. There is something about the pressure and the setting, and the fact that we have done it before! And the second time around, we know what works and what doesn't. But for Melissa, everything worked just perfectly.

Here at Cheekadee we get all sorts of inquiries about our services. But this one blew my mind. When I read the address, I realized that this girl lives on my street! I am the last house on the block, and she is the first-- what are the chances?!
I first met with Sarah and her Mother when I did her makeup for her
engagement shoot. She brought me a photo of Lauren Conrad and asked if
I could replicate her look. Usually when clients bring me photos of
celebrities, they look nothing like them, but Sarah really looks like

So, we just finished our most successful wedding season ever… 70 weddings between Tricia and I. That was the easy part, now blogging about them all will take some time.
We had the pleasure to work with so many amazing women this year. But I thought that I would start with a note from Shante. In her own words, she describes just how happy she was with our services and skills and to me, that is what it is all about! Thank you sweet Shante!!
Hey Emily! I wanted to take the time to thank you for doing my makeup and my bridesmaids makeup as well. You did an absolutely awesome job and I've never felt so beautiful as I did on my wedding day! For a bride that is extremely important. I'm my opinion a bride can have on the most gorgeous dress but it is the hair and makeup that bring it out. I can honestly say I've never felt more glamorous and you helped to do that. You gave me the exact vision I was going for. Can I also just say that I am truly impressed that you were able to work with all the different skin tones and skin types that made up my bridal party. My bridesmaids felt so beautiful and looked stunning and would like to thank you too! I am so going to pass you along as a recommendation! SUSIE & IANThis wedding was one of those where you say to yourself, I just love what I do! Susie was not only beautiful, but she was so super sweet! Both she and her Mother made me feel so comfortable in their home. And now that I am looking at these photos, I am smiling ear to ear. My only regret is that I didn't get to meet Ian. They make such a beautiful couple!
The highlight of my day was when I got to sit at the Doar's kitchen table and grab a bite of lunch with my photographer friend Sarah Schulte! I know it sounds silly, but she is so fun, and I was so jealous that she was going to get to spend the day with them and I wasn't! Check out the fabulous pictures that she took that day!!

When I first met Gina, I knew that we were going to have fun together. Gina was not only beautiful, but she had a great sense of humor! And the biggest plus... she LOVES makeup! I had so much fun working with Gina and her family on the day of her wedding! I just knew that the day would be smooth sailing for all, because Gina hired the best of the best to help her out on the day of! I just LOVE how Jennifer Childress captured Gina and Pete's personalities in the amazing photographs below. And with Joy Moody there second shooting, that was just icing on the cake! Meghan Cahill did a wonderful job on everyone's hair! Speaking of the best... Erin Proud of Proud to Plan was there to help with the day of coordinating. As always, she does an amazing job. Erin just won Best of My Fox Philly for Wedding Planners-- congrats to Erin and her team!!  Gina's eyes are amazing. She wanted drama, and I was more than happy to oblige. So, by using a black waterproof eyeliner on her lash line, then smoking it out with a charcoal shadow, I was able to make her eyes pop read more...

Hello Cheekadee Blog followers! This is Tricia with my first-ever blog posting here! I couldn't wait for the opportunity to blog this wedding and you'll soon see why!
Kathleen and Garrett were married on one of the most amazing weather days of the fall season this year. Technically, it was still the end of summer, but they couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! I arrived bright and early at their rental in Avalon, NJ. This place had the most incredible natural light streaming in which always makes my job a little easier (as if my job wasn't easy enough with the beauties that were Kathleen, her bridesmaids and her oh-so-sweet Mom!).
Anyway, I had one of the most fun mornings with a bridal party, working alongside Natalie Pagano working her hair magic, and getting to know Kathleen's family and friends a little (she has thee cutest nieces and nephew). Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed
working with The Levins family. Katie was an absolute doll, while her
equally adorable Mother Cheryle was so helpful to me during the whole
