Inspiration Shoot
We recently had the pleasure of working with some amazing women on a special inspiration shoot. Erin Proud of Proud to Plan and Lindsay Docherty of Lindsay Docherty Photography orchestrated a beautiful event to show off the creativity and talent of local Philadelphia vendors and inspire to-be-wed couples, and Nina did makeup and simple hair styling for Becky, the model for the day.
Laurita Winery served as an incredible backdrop; the last photo we are featuring is an amazing shot that shows the sun setting behind a field of grapevines. Check out the beautiful photos below, as well as the write up and more photos of the day in Ruffled Blog.

Best of Philly 2011: Makeup Application We are very excited to announce that Cheekadee has a won a coveted Best of Philly award for Best Makeup Application for 2011 in Philadelphia Magazine's Best of Issue! As someone who was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, this is an achievement that means a lot to me personally, and a title that will stick with us always.

Casey & William in Style Me Pretty!
We thought that Casey's wedding was as cool and beautiful as she is, and obviously so did Style Me Pretty! You can read all about Casey's wedding and see some more amazing photos here.
Casey and William married on May 29, 2011 in the gardens at the Colonial Dames house in Philadelphia. They also held their reception, complete with fried chicken for dinner, there. A big thanks to Pete Malone of 217 Photography for all of the photos!
Working with her, her family, and friends was an absolutely pleasure, and we wish Casey and William the very best!

Emily connected with Brooke through WeddingBee.com where she was blogging as Mrs. Cupcake about her wedding plans and celebration. Brooke who co-owns Curious and Company Creative, designed all of the wedding stationary herself! She also did the invites for Emily and Kamila's Starlet Studio Party opening last Spring. You can read Brooke's blog posts to find out about her wedding and what she's been up to since then! Brooke is such an amazing designer with a great sense of color as you will see from these photos!

Style Me Pretty FeatureI was contacted by
my friend Alison Conklin to do hair and makeup for a concept shoot for a
client of hers. The way that I feel about Alison's photography work,
this was a no-brainer. Plus, this would be a welcome change from the
wedding work that we typically do together.
I arrived at Nicole
and Garri's house and instantly felt comfortable. They were both super
sweet and had a crazy lovable doggie named Leon. I really enjoyed myself
this day and the end result is so fantastic! Thank you to Alison for the fabulous photos!

Before and After Photos of The Studio
Somehow I just knew when I saw this place, that it was meant to be. Don't ask me how, I just knew. When I called Kamila to tell her about the place, I was literally shaking because I was so excited.
Here is the outside entrance to the studio. This may have been what got me-- so sweet. This building is a carriage house dating back to the mid 1800's. This actual part of the building used to be a horse stable. Is it a coinsidence that my 2 year old loves horses? I think not.
 It really just needed some TLC, AND paint, AND new flooring, AND new ceiling tiles, AND new curtains and curtain rods, AND new lighting, AND new custom built ins, more paint, AND new fixtures, AND new light switches, AND new locks and door handles, AND new custom cushion covers, and did I mention paint?!
