STARLETS IN WILDWOOD

On Wednesday May 6th, I packed up my car with my makeup kit, dresses, bathing suits, hats, gloves, scarves, jewelry and a whole mess of other fun stuff to do our second Starlet Session in Wildwood, NJ with Kamila Harris of Kamila Harris Photography

We booked a really cool hotel room at the Starlux Hotel in Wildwood- home of the Doo-Wop Association, and everything else that rocks the 50's styles. And there was no way that this overcast drizzling day was going to dampen any of our spirits, as we had quite a line up of fun things to cover, come rain or come shine!

We started out at the infamous Wildwood Balls, then back to the trailers at the Starlux. We then went to the bestest, most funnest ice cream shop in the entire world, Cool Scoops!!! Where Paul and Lori Russo treated us to not only some yummy ice cream, but let us shoot in their fabulous place.

So, it was Kamila taking photos, me doing the makeup and Roberta Briggs from Fringe Salon in South Philly doing the hair. And aside from the yucko weather, the day was a blast! Some of the best shots of the day were taken in the hotel room.
As you can see from the photos below, these girls were GORGEOUS!!!

This is Sarah, and she looks straight out of a 50's Revlon ad. I just love the way her makeup photographed.I created this look by using a pale shadow over the entire lid, then using a taupe like plum color in the crease.Lining the eye with black liquid and using a full set of #110 Ardel lashes. I love these!!! For the lips I used Chanel lipliner in Red, Chanel lipstick in Shanghai Red, and Goldie Lipgloss in Pomme.

This is Jennifer, and for her look I used the #4 Shadow Liner Brush by Chanel with Trish McEvoy's Finish Line and a black shadow to create this sultry, smoky eye, and a full set of Babies Lashes by Ardell. On the lips was Chanel Glossimer in Jelly.

This is Daynne. I must have told her a hundred times that day that she looked like she was born in this era. For her look I used a MAC eyeshadow called Blanc Type all over her lid and another MAC eyeshadow called texture in her crease. Lined her eyes with black and the Ardell lashes, of course! And Ruby Lite longwear lipcolor by Chanel.

Kamila and I are in the process of discussing some really exciting ideas for our upcoming sessions; so stay tuned!! In the meantime, if you are interested in joining us for an upcoming session, please visit the site and drop us an email.

Special Thanks to Paul and Lori! See how cute they are!!
